Talk about a great way to start a new year !!!! JoAnn Johnson and her two children took possession of their new home on December 30. While we weren't able to grant them a Christmas wish, we were able to get them into their new home for the NEW YEAR!!!

The rains held off, the clouds provided shade and a constant breeze brought smiles to the faces of 26 women and team leaders. On this first day of our six day celebration of women helping build for women,
Women Build is already a wonderful opportunity to get women from all walks of life working together for the greater good, a life that will be changed forever...a new house for a very deserving single mom and her three daughters.
The amazing thing that we discovered this year...
Our turn-out of supporters bringing documents to be shredded was outstanding! We earned $600 for our annual scholarship program. One of the delays in getting the 1665 19th St. Women Build project started was the fact that an endangered gopher tortoise burrow was found smack in the middle of the lot!!! Before we could obtain permits, we had to relocate her out of the way of all the building activity. So, Friday, April 4, became moving day for Turquoise the tortoise....

Our ReStore is undergoing big changes as we move into the spring. We will no longer carry clothes, shoes, purses, or some home decor items. Instead, it will be stocked with quality furniture, appliances, renovation project materials and some kitchen wares, dishes, and home decor items. We are very excited to share our new layout with you! We thank you in advance for your patience and continued patronage during our transition.
